What is the Future of Housing Alliance (FHA)
FHA is a collective of passionate housing advocates that are eager to build a better tomorrow through better, and more affordable housing for all. FHA aims to transform the future of housing through affordable housing advocacy and working directly with affordable housing providers to enable the development of existing and new affordable housing opportunities.
How Does the FHA Help?
The FHA helps provide value to affordable housing organizations through involvement in the following activities:

-
Low or No-charge consultations to develop a scope of work for redeveloping an existing affordable housing site through our partnership with General Contractors and Builders
-
Low or No-charge consultations with our network of Surveyors, Architects, Permit Designers, and Engineers to better identify pre-construction costs for a development project.
-
Help in obtaining pro-bono or donated services from pre-construction professionals to help reduce the cost of planning an affordable housing project. Our goal is to get plans in your hands as affordably as possible so you can determine the cost to construct!
-
Using our network of for-profit General Contractors and Builders, we are aiming to reduce the material supply costs that affordable housing providers incur for their new projects by sourcing excess construction materials from for-profit builders in exchange for a charitable donation receipt.
-
Actively listening to the needs of affordable housing providers to come up with new and innovative ways to create more affordable housing for all!
